Our History

The Siberian Chill™ Brand Family of Products were developed in December of 2008, by Founder W. Burleigh Kaster, Jr, to satisfy the discerning tastes of today’s frozen dispensed beverage consumers. Kaster gained his experience through over 40 years in the food and beverage industry focusing on new product development as well as brand support from concept to market rollout. His knowledge was honed while working for some of the nation’s industry leaders such as Sara Lee, Zausner Foods, Bon Grain Industries, Seaboard Farms and Mrs Clark’s Foods, just to name a few. This background has helped him to successfully launch products within the Retail and Foodservice segments throughout his career. Through his work over the last 18 years, specifically within the Frozen Dispensed Beverage segment, Kaster has become one of the industry’s experts in this field. Through this wealth of knowledge and partnering with R&D groups, Kaster has been able to arrive at formulations and manufacturing processes that have made the Siberian Chill Brand Family of Products second to none in each of their respective categories.

When Kaster decided to take these products to market, he needed to find someone to partner with that he could rely on and trust to “mind the store” while allowing him to focus on the sales and marketing side of the business. He found just the partner he was looking for in Peter Ronald. Kaster and Ronald had both grown up in Louisville, KY and had both graduated from the University of Kentucky but had never met until they were introduced by a mutual friend. Ronald’s extensive expertise from the financial side of the business came from his stint in the banking industry for over 25 years as well as his eleven years as CFO and owner of a successful healthcare business. They formed Unique Beverage Concepts, LLC as the management company for their venture.

Since the inception of the Siberian Chill Brand Family of Products, Unique Beverage Concepts, LLC, the owner of the Siberian Chill Brand, has worked exclusively through PepsiCo™ and Independent Pepsi Cola™ Bottlers to expand its product distribution network nationally. Unique Beverage Concepts, LLC continues to create innovative products/flavors that allow it to stay on top of ever changing consumer taste trends.
